What is YARDtwin?
YARDtwin is an intelligent yard management platform that digitises every step of your yard operations — from gate to dock to departure.
Key capabilities:
- Scheduling — Gantt-view dock scheduling with drag-and-drop, auto-assignment rules, and AI load-time prediction
- Gate Operations — Configurable check-in with QR codes, OCR, driver self-check-in, and compliance checklists
- Digital Twin — Real-time interactive yard map showing every dock, trailer, and parking position
- Analytics — Turnaround times, dock utilisation, carrier scorecards, and detention tracking
- GMP Compliance — Full audit trail designed to support Part 11 / Annex 11 compliance
User roles:
| Role | Access |
|---|---|
| Administrator | Everything, including Site Admin (site set-up, billing, integrations, single sign-on) and the Layout Builder |
| Ops Manager | Runs the site day to day: scheduling, gate, docks, yard map, carriers, reports; manages users except administrators |
| Yard Manager | Almost the same as an Ops Manager; shift reports and adding or changing carriers stay with Ops Managers and Administrators |
| Operations | Planners and office staff: bookings, docks, the yard map, move tasks, documents and compliance checklists |
| Quality (QA) | Reviews and signs off: sees almost everything and works compliance, inspections, the audit log and the warehouse QA queue |
| Viewer | Read-only: the dashboard, the scheduling board, the yard map and reports |
| Gate Guard | Gate check-in and check-out, seals and gate inspections |
| Warehouse Operations Staff | The docks: starts, monitors and completes each trailer, and handles holds |
| Yard Jockey | Moves trailers from a task list; sees the yard map |
| Carrier | Carrier portal: books and manages its own deliveries, drivers and trailers |
| Supplier | Supplier portal: books delivery slots and follows its own deliveries |
| Driver | Its own bookings (read-only), its own documents and notifications |
| Implementation partner | An outside consultant who sets the site up: Site Admin → Site blueprint only, on the sites named for them. Runs and signs the validation scenarios; cannot apply the blueprint or see the yard |
